As the new year approaches, I’ll be stepping away from my desk to celebrate with family and friends. I hope you’re able to do the same. Once January arrives, we’ll be picking up right where we left off with a full checklist for the next phase of the build.
First up, we still have block to lay for the support walls, followed by the framing work that will shape the next stage of the brewery. We’ll also be moving forward with connecting the radiant floor heating system, powered by a repurposed 800‑gallon milk cooling tank paired with a gas‑fired tankless water heater. This setup will heat the brewing space, tasting rooms, and bathrooms.
Speaking of bathrooms, we now have our septic plan approved, along with a great contractor lined up to install it. We also need to purchase the transformer required to power our German‑made brewing system. On top of that, we’ll be working on insulating the keg storage room to keep everything at the right temperature.
Once those hurdles are cleared, we’ll move on to the wiring for lights and receptacles, bringing us one step closer to seeing this place come alive. Every week brings us closer to pouring that first pint.
